Learning Is Fun

Whether you’re looking for a serious commitment or simply want to learn something new and have fun while doing it, there’s nothing more important than being taught by an experienced Piano Instructor. I’ve been offering my services to people of all ages in the Los Angeles area since 2002, and I’m here to give you the personalized attention you deserve so that you can reach your full potential.

Musical Notes

My Story

Personalized. Comprehensive. Fun.

I hold 2 Masters degrees in Piano Performance and Composition from California State University Northridge; I studied Piano Pedagogy for 2 years during my undergrad and graduate studies, and I am always up to date with the newest teaching methods and continuing education seminars that might help me better myself as a teacher! My students are and have always been my number 1 priority.
I recognize the potential in each one of my students. With my customizable approach, I’ve seen my students’ self-esteem, skill-set, independence and critical thinking skills consistently rise. I love what I do and it makes me happy to be able to share my passion with others. Since starting as a private teacher in 2002, my results are a testament to the fact that my system works. I’m a patient, adaptable, and professional piano instructor ready to help you reach your goals. I do not spoon feed my students, but employ the Socratic Method, in which the instructor leads the student to the “right answers” by asking the appropriate questions. This helps the student think critically, remember concepts with ease and furthers the student’s independence from the teacher. My goal is always to enable the student to eventually not need a music instructor. Get in touch today so we can start working together and having fun doing so!

Advanced repertoire, master classes, audition prep

Customized Lessons to Fit Your Needs

I have worked with a variety of advanced students over the years. Weather you’re looking to improve your repertoire, prepare for a college entrance audition or a competition, I would be more than happy to assist in this arena. Please contact me for further information regarding this worth while and ambitious goal!

Recitals and Master Classes

Applause and Kudos!

Nothing motivates students as much as performing! The recital is a way to showcase the student’s achievements, find commonalities with other performers, and frame the reason for all the hard work and practice in a tangible way! The applause and kudos the student receives from a warm and loving audience sets up the stage for a desire to work even harder, play even better! I hold recitals for my students at least once a year, and master classes at least 3 times a year. These are not mandatory, but I do encourage everyone to participate in at least one such event. Usually, even the most reticent students end up excited toward the next recital!

Ari is both a lovely person and a very good piano teacher! She came to our home to teach my two sones, 16 and 20. She was able to meet each boy at his own starting place and quickly felt how best to tailor each lesson to each boy. She teaches from a theory workbook but also wants the boys to bring her music that they choose so that she can begin to teach them to play songs they like, from pop to classical. We enjoy her weekly visits -- I'm even thinking of starting lessons with her! I'm really glad we found Ari.
